A HOUSE RESOLUTION

TO RECOGNIZE AND HONOR MRS. MARY LEE MYERS WEARING OF GEORGETOWN COUNTY ON THE OCCASION OF HER SEVENTIETH BIRTHDAY, AND TO EXTEND BEST WISHES TO HER FOR GOOD HEALTH AND HAPPINESS.

Whereas, Mrs. Mary Lee Myers Wearing was born May 13, 1935, and will celebrate her seventieth birthday this year; and

Whereas, family and friends will gather in love and admiration for Mrs. Wearing at her seventieth birthday celebration on May 14, 2005; and

Whereas, one of eight children, Mrs. Wearing has seven siblings: Blanche Myers, James Myers, Jr., the late Ethel Reeves, Myrtle Robinson, William Myers, Harold Myers, and Shirley Ann Mitchell; and

Whereas, Mrs. Wearing was married to the late Jessie James Wearing and was blessed with nine beautiful daughters: Mrs. Alberta Wearing Norris, Mrs. Blond Wearing Cameron, Mrs. Donna Wearing Nesbitt, Ms. Evonne Wearing Field, Mrs. Roe Wearing Hunt, Mrs. Juliette Wearing Lance, Mrs. Sharon Wearing Steedley, Mrs. Denetta Wearing McCray, and Ms. Equanda Wearing; twelve grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren; and

Whereas, a lifelong resident of Georgetown County, Mrs. Wearing has been active in her community and especially Trinity AME Church; and

Whereas, the members of the House of Representatives of the State of South Carolina are delighted to have the opportunity to recognize Mrs. Mary Lee Myers Wearing on the joyous occasion of her seventieth birthday. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the House of Representatives of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, recognize and honor Mrs. Mary Lee Myers Wearing of Georgetown County on the occasion of her seventieth birthday, and extend best wishes to her for good health and happiness.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Mrs. Mary Lee Myers Wearing of Georgetown County.
