A HOUSE RESOLUTION

EXPRESSING THE CONGRATULATIONS OF THE MEMBERS OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES TO BENJAMIN NATE AND WENDY NIPPER HOMEYER ON THE BIRTH OF THEIR BEAUTIFUL DAUGHTER, SOPHIA (SOPHIE) EVELYN HOMEYER, BORN MARCH 24, 2006, AND EXTENDING THEIR BEST WISHES TO THE HAPPY PARENTS FOR SOPHIE'S HEALTH AND HAPPINESS IN ALL THE YEARS TO COME.

Whereas, the members of the House of Representatives were delighted to learn of the birth on March 24, 2006, of Sophia (Sophie) Evelyn Homeyer to Benjamin Nate and Wendy Nipper Homeyer; and

Whereas, Sophie's proud parents are well known to and much appreciated by the members and staff of the House of Representatives, as Ben joined the staff of the Committee on Ways and Means in December, 2003, and currently serves as that committee's director of legislation, and his lovely wife Wendy formerly worked for President George W. Bush; and

Whereas, Wendy and Ben's delight and joy in their beautiful daughter is more than shared by Sophie's doting grandparents, Pamela and Paul Nipper and Susan and Jay Homeyer; and

Whereas, it is appropriate for the members of the House of Representatives to pause in their deliberations so that they may congratulate Wendy and Ben on the happy occasion of the birth of their first child and welcome them to the joys and trials of parenthood as they begin their journey with Sophie. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the House of Representatives, by this resolution, congratulate Benjamin Nate and Wendy Nipper Homeyer on the birth of their beautiful daughter Sophia (Sophie) Evelyn Homeyer born March 24, 2006, and extend their best wishes to the happy parents for Sophie's health and happiness in all the years to come.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Wendy and Ben Homeyer.
