A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO CONGRATULATE MR. WILLIE H. BRYANT OF RICHLAND COUNTY ON BEING INSTALLED AS A DEACON AND CHAIRMAN OF CORPORATE MISSIONS FOR GREATER FAITH UNITED MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH, AND TO WISH HIM CONTINUED SUCCESS IN ALL OF HIS FUTURE ENDEAVORS.

Whereas, Mr. Willie H. Bryant is a 1965 graduate of C. A. Johnson High School, and a 1969 graduate of Voorhees College; and

Whereas, he is a member of the Omega Si Phi Fraternity, and the Esquire Club; and

Whereas, Mr. Bryant has volunteered his time and talents to numerous community based organizations that include the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People; and serving as coordinator of the 2000 and 2001 Jog-A-Thon from the City of Columbia to Washington, D. C. to raise funds for educational scholarships; and

Whereas, his religious affiliations include, service as past president of the Northeast Coalition of Churches and past vice chairman of the Gethsemane Youth Sports League; and

Whereas, Mr. Bryant is a faithful member of the Greater Faith United Missionary Baptist Church where he will be installed as a Deacon and Chairman of Corporate Missions on February 6, 2005; and

Whereas, it is fitting and proper for the members of the General Assembly to recognize him for this great achievement. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly for the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, congratulate Mr. Willie H. Bryant of Richland County on being installed as a Deacon and Chairman of the Corporate Missions for Greater Faith United Missionary Baptist Church and to wish him continued success in all of his future endeavors.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Deacon Willie H. Bryant.
