A HOUSE RESOLUTION

EXPRESSING THE GRATITUDE AND APPRECIATION OF THE MEMBERS OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES TO MRS. MELANIE HAHN, MEDIA SPECIALIST FOR BELTON-HONEA PATH ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, FOR HER EXEMPLARY PUBLIC SERVICE TO BELTON-HONEA PATH ELEMENTARY AND TO THE CITIZENS OF THE STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA, AND EXTENDING TO HER VERY BEST WISHES IN ALL HER FUTURE ENDEAVORS.

Whereas, with mixed emotions, the members of the House of Representatives have learned that Mrs. Melanie Hahn is leaving her position as media specialist at Belton-Honea Path Elementary School; and

Whereas, Melanie Hahn began her career as a teacher in 1993 after receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from Warner Southern University in Lake Wales, Florida; she went on to receive her Master of Arts in Teaching in Information and Library Sciences from the University of South Carolina; and

Whereas, in 2002, Mrs. Hahn became the media specialist for Belton-Honea Path and has written and received several grants for the school totaling $18,000; she has also implemented the first TV studio for Anderson District Two, implemented a Promethean Activity Board, and developed an instructional interactive laboratory for teachers to use the latest technology with their students; and

Whereas, Mrs. Melanie Hahn is a devoted wife and mother; she is married to Jon Hahn, and they have two children. Mrs. Hahn is a loyal and active member of her church and a leader in her community. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the House of Representatives, by this resolution, hereby express their gratitude and appreciation to Mrs. Melanie Hahn, media specialist for Belton-Honea Path Elementary School, for her exemplary public service to Belton-Honea Path Elementary and to the citizens of the State of South Carolina and extend to her best wishes in all her future endeavors.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mrs. Melanie Hahn.
