THE UNION DELEGATION

To whom was referred a Bill (H. 5059) to amend the Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, by adding Section 59-1-427 so as to provide that the Union County School Board of Trustees is authorized, etc., respectfully

REPORT:

That they have duly and carefully considered the same and recommend that the same do pass:

A BILL

TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 59-1-427 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT THE UNION COUNTY SCHOOL BOARD OF TRUSTEES IS AUTHORIZED TO ESTABLISH THE OPENING DATE FOR SCHOOL TO BEGIN.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    Article 5, Chapter 1, Title 59 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding:

"Section 59-1-427.    Notwithstanding Section 59-1-425, the Union County School Board of Trustees is authorized to establish the opening date for school to begin."

SECTION    2.    This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
