TO RECOGNIZE AND HONOR KEVIN HEISE, HEAD SOCCER COACH AT BROOKLAND-CAYCE HIGH SCHOOL, ON BEING SELECTED 2006 SOUTH CAROLINA LARGE SCHOOL DIVISION BOYS SOCCER COACH OF THE YEAR BY THE NATIONAL SOCCER COACHES ASSOCIATION OF AMERICA.
Whereas, Kevin Heise, head soccer coach at Brookland-Cayce High School, has been selected 2006 South Carolina Large School Division Boys Soccer Coach of the Year by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America; and
Whereas, a third-generation graduate of Brookland-Cayce High School, Coach Heise is an exceptional product of its soccer program from his own school days; and
Whereas, as head soccer coach at Brookland-Cayce High School, he has transformed his program into a Midlands and state powerhouse over the last sixteen years and led the Bearcats to two Class AAA Lower State Championships, four semifinals, nine region titles, thirteen Top Ten rankings, while also advancing to the state playoffs fourteen straight years; and
Whereas, for his efforts, Coach Heise has received numerous honors, among them the South Carolina Athletic Coaches Association Coach of the Year Award, Region Coach of the Year Award, and The State newspaper's All-Area Coach of the Year Award; and
Whereas, in addition to possessing superb coaching skills, he is a fine young man who sets an excellent example of good citizenship and sportsmanship for young people; and
Whereas, the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives take great pleasure in according special recognition to such an outstanding individual. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, recognize and honor Kevin Heise, head soccer coach at Brookland-Cayce High School, on being selected 2006 South Carolina Large School Division Boys Soccer Coach of the Year by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Coach Kevin Heise.
