VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
TO CONGRATULATE THE CHRIST CHURCH EPISCOPAL SCHOOL BOYS CROSS COUNTRY TEAM ON ITS IMPRESSIVE WIN OF THE 2006 SOUTH CAROLINA INDEPENDENT SCHOOL ASSOCIATION CLASS A STATE CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE, AND TO HONOR THE PLAYERS, HEAD COACH RODNEY ADAMEE, AND ASSISTANT COACH ELLIE RHODES ON AN OUTSTANDING SEASON.
Whereas, in November 2006, the Christ Church Episcopal School boys cross country team capped its stellar season by capturing the 2006 South Carolina Independent School Association Class A State Championship title; and
Whereas, excellence in cross country competition demands individual strength, agility, and skill, as well as sharp teamwork; and
Whereas, using these talents and attributes, Head Coach Rodney Adamee, Assistant Coach Ellie Rhodes, and runners Chase Carpenter, Cameron Crawford, Forrest Farokhi, Blakely Jarrett, Bryson Smith, Hunter Smith, and Edward Wixler showed both fans and foes alike that the Cavaliers' winning of this year's state title was not accidental, but rather the payoff for concentrated, consistent hard work and capitalization on strong abilities; and
Whereas, in further recognition of this championship team, out of ninety-eight runners competing in the state meet, the agile Cavaliers finished with five runners in the top nine, and all five of these runners earned berths on the All-State team; and
Whereas, the seven young men of the Christ Church boys cross country team showed great endurance, always remaining sportsmanlike and representing their school and surrounding community admirably; and
Whereas, the Cavaliers have brought deserved accolades not only upon themselves but also upon the Christ Church community and Greenville County; and
Whereas, the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives take great pleasure in recognizing the young men of the Christ Church boys cross country team for their determination and perseverance in achieving excellence both in the classroom and in running and expect to hear of great accomplishments in the seasons to come. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, congratulate the Christ Church Episcopal School boys cross country team on its impressive win of the 2006 South Carolina Independent School Association Class A State Championship title, and honor the players, Head Coach Rodney Adamee, and Assistant Coach Ellie Rhodes on an outstanding season.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Christ Church Episcopal School's upper school director, William C. Sparrgrove, and Head Coach Rodney Adamee.
