TO COMMEND MRS. AUDREY HARTIN, OF COLUMBIA, FOR HER TWENTY-TWO YEARS OF OUTSTANDING AND DEDICATED SERVICE AS ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT TO RICHLAND COUNTY'S SHERIFF UPON THE OCCASION OF HER RETIREMENT, AND TO WISH HER MUCH SUCCESS AND HAPPINESS IN ALL HER FUTURE ENDEAVORS.
Whereas, Mrs. Audrey Hartin, of Richland County, for ten years has carried out her duties as administrative assistant to Richland County's sheriff with poise and excellence, first with Sheriff Frank Powell and now with Sheriff Leon Lott, for a total of twenty-two years' service with the agency; and
Whereas, her intelligence, friendliness, and organized efficiency have drawn admiration from all with whom she has worked; and
Whereas, Mrs. Hartin, during her tenure as administrative assistant to Sheriff Lott, has worn many hats, overseeing all administrative personnel, coordinating schedules, and assisting with the day-to-day management of the sheriff's department; and
Whereas, first to arrive and last to leave each day, she is one of the most knowledgeable people on his entire staff, according to Sheriff Leon Lott, who sought her out for help in making a smooth transition when he took up his duties with the department and who has depended on her from day one; and
Whereas, in recognition of Mrs. Hartin's exceptional service, she was named a finalist for Employee of the Year in her previous position with the South Carolina Retirement Systems, and, more recently, 2002 Civilian of the Year by the Richland County Sheriff's Department; and
Whereas, as she joins her husband, Lieutenant Jim Hartin (retired), of the Richland County Sheriff's Department, in a well-deserved retirement, the Senate hopes they will enjoy their now more leisurely lifestyle together. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the Senate:
That the members of the South Carolina Senate, by this resolution, commend Mrs. Audrey Hartin, of Columbia, for her twenty-two years of outstanding and dedicated service as administrative assistant to Richland County's sheriff upon the occasion of her retirement, and wish her much success and happiness in all her future endeavors.
