The House assembled at 10:00 a.m.
Deliberations were opened with prayer by Rev. Charles E. Seastrunk, Jr., as follows:

Our thought for today is from Psalm 74:2: "Remember the people you purchased of old, the tribe of your inheritance, whom you redeemed."
Let us pray. O Lord our God, we thank You for blessing and keeping us in Your love and care. Continue to protect us and give us Your blessings as we end another week of duties in Your earthly kingdom, the State. Give us quiet rest and a peaceful weekend. Bless our Nation, President, State, Governor, Speaker and all who serve in government and private enterprise. Protect our defenders of freedom at home and abroad as they protect us. In the name of our Lord. Amen.

After corrections to the Journal of the proceedings of Wednesday, the SPEAKER ordered it confirmed.
