A SENATE RESOLUTION

CONGRATULATING MRS. RODDEY STOUDEMIRE ON HER RETIREMENT FROM HER POSITION AS TENTH CIRCUIT COORDINATOR FOR THE GUARDIAN AD LITEM PROGRAM AND THANKING HER FOR HER TIRELESS DEVOTION TO THE CHILDREN OF ANDERSON AND OCONEE COUNTIES.

Whereas, Mrs. Roddey Stoudemire has served as Tenth Circuit Coordinator for the Guardian ad Litem Program for twenty-one years; and

Whereas, during her tenure as Coordinator, Mrs. Stoudemire has trained over two hundred and thirty community members to be volunteer advocates for over one thousand seven hundred children who had been abused and neglected, representing over nine hundred and twenty-eight cases; and

Whereas, in addition to recruiting, training, and supervising these volunteers, Mrs. Stoudemire has served as a Guardian herself for over a half dozen children. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate:

That the members of the South Carolina Senate, by this Resolution, do congratulate Mrs. Roddey Stoudemire on her retirement from her position as Tenth Circuit Coordinator for the Guardian ad Litem Program and thank her for her tireless devotion to the Children of Anderson and Oconee Counties.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mrs. Roddey Stoudemire.
