TO CONGRATULATE AND COMMEND LARRY HUGGINS, OF ASHWOOD FIRE STATION, UPON BEING NAMED LEE COUNTY FIREFIGHTER OF THE YEAR IN 2006.
Whereas, the members of the General Assembly were delighted to learn that Larry Huggins, of Ashwood Fire Station, recently was recognized as Lee County Firefighter of the Year in 2006; and
Whereas, a veteran of thirty-three years of firefighting, Mr. Huggins is a faithful member of his volunteer firefighting force and is deservedly admired and respected by his colleagues; and
Whereas, as a certified and committed firefighter, he seeks to continue growing his skills by taking additional training, freely giving of his own time in order to do so; and
Whereas, the members of the General Assembly wish to commend this dedicated public servant for his outstanding contribution in preserving the health and welfare of the citizens of his county and State. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, congratulate and commend Larry Huggins, of Ashwood Fire Station, upon being named Lee County Firefighter of the Year in 2006.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. Larry Huggins.
