TO APPROVE REGULATIONS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF LABOR, LICENSING AND REGULATION, BOARD OF PHYSICAL THERAPY EXAMINERS, RELATING TO ESTABLISHING FEES, GUIDELINES FOR CONTINUING EDUCATION, AND REQUIREMENTS FOR LICENSURE AS A PHYSICAL THERAPIST AND PHYSICAL THERAPIST ASSISTANT, DESIGNATED AS REGULATION DOCUMENT NUMBER 3202, PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF ARTICLE 1, CHAPTER 23, TITLE 1 OF THE 1976 CODE.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. The regulations of the Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation, Board of Physical Therapy Examiners relating to establishing fees, guidelines for continuing education, and requirements for licensure as a physical therapist and physical therapist assistant, designated as Regulation Document Number 3202, and submitted to the General Assembly pursuant to the provisions of Article 1, Chapter 23, Title 1 of the 1976 Code, are approved.
SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
The Board of Physical Therapy Examiners is amending regulations to delete repetitious language that is in the statute, establish fees, establish guidelines for continuing education, and to establish requirements for licensure as a physical therapist and physical therapist assistant.
