A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO RECOGNIZE AND COMMEND THE A.C. FLORA HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL TEAM FOR ITS OUTSTANDING SEASON AND FOR CAPTURING THE 2007 CLASS AAA STATE CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE, AND TO HONOR THE TEAM'S EXCEPTIONAL PLAYERS, COACH, AND STAFF.

Whereas, the A.C. Flora High School baseball team defeated the Seahawks of Hilton Head High School on May 10, 2007, to capture the 2007 Class AAA State Championship title; and

Whereas, Coach Andy Hallett, with grueling practices, hard work, and determination, built his baseball program into a championship team; and

Whereas, this crowning victory, the last in a sweep by Flora in the championship's best-of-three series, caps an excellent season for the Falcons; and

Whereas, the Falcons have brought great pride and recognition to their school and community, and the members of the South Carolina General Assembly are pleased to have this opportunity to recognize such a wonderful group of young men. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:

That the members of the South Carolina General Assembly, by this resolution, recognize and commend the A.C. Flora High School baseball team for its outstanding season and for capturing the 2007 Class AAA State Championship title, and honor the team's exceptional players, coach, and staff.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the principal of A.C. Flora High School, Richard McClure, and Coach Andy Hallett.
