A JOINT RESOLUTION

TO ABOLISH THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION AND DEVOLVE ALL OF ITS RESPONSIBILITIES, POWERS, AND DUTIES TO THE SECRETARY OF THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    The Department of Transportation Commission established pursuant to Section 57-1-310 of the 1976 Code is abolished. All of the commission's responsibilities, powers, and duties are transferred to the Secretary of the Department of Transportation.

SECTION    2.    This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
