A SENATE RESOLUTION

TO CONGRATULATE MASTER AUGUST WADE SHOOPMAN, SON OF SENATOR AND MRS. PHILLIP SHOOPMAN, UPON THE OCCASION OF HIS GRADUATION FROM KINDERGARTEN AT BLUE RIDGE CHRISTIAN ACADEMY, TO COMMEND HIM FOR COMPLETING KINDERGARTEN WITH OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENTS, AND TO WISH HIM A VERY BRIGHT AND HAPPY FUTURE.

Whereas, it is with great pleasure that the South Carolina Senate honors those individuals who give tirelessly to achieve high academic success to the welfare of this great State's citizenry; and

Whereas, August Wade Shoopman graduated from kindergarten under the instruction of Jean Howard and exhibited outstanding academic achievement including learning to read books; write; subtract and multiply numbers; count by 2s, 5s and 10s; count money; and enjoy daily Bible instruction; and

Whereas, August stands as an outstanding citizen, one much admired for his leadership, loving nature, thoughtfulness, obedience, faithfulness to his family, spirited personality, and extensive creativity and talent with Legos, in his role as a student, son, brother, and friend; and

Whereas, born in 2005, young August is growing up in the Greer area, bringing excitement and fun to his classroom and home. In preparation for his life's work, August was taught before entering kindergarten to read, write, spell, add numbers, and love the Lord and is now working on the remainder of his elementary education at Blue Ridge Christian Academy in Landrum, South Carolina; and

Whereas, August Shoopman began his Christian walk early, learning many Bible stories and verses as a toddler, and he hopes to be baptized soon at Washington Baptist Church in Greer, South Carolina, where he continues to study and memorize God's Word; and

Whereas, Senator and Mrs. Shoopman, and his sister, Clara Michelle Shoopman, along with numerous others, consider August to be a friend, a leader, and a very special young man; and

Whereas, having made his mark and set the bar of achievement extraordinarily high, August will be remembered with affection and love by parents, sister, and friends for years to come. May the force with be you, August. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate:

That the members of the South Carolina Senate, by this resolution, congratulate Master August Wade Shoopman, son of Senator and Mrs. Phillip Shoopman, upon the occasion of his graduation from kindergarten at Blue Ridge Christian Academy, commend him for completing kindergarten with outstanding achievements, and wish him a very bright and happy future.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Master August Wade Shoopman.
