VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
TO REQUIRE THE STATE TREASURER TO DISTRIBUTE ANY REMAINING UNOBLIGATED PORTION OF FUNDS APPROPRIATED FOR ABSTINENCE ONLY EDUCATION BY THE FISCAL YEAR 2010-2011 GENERAL APPROPRIATIONS ACT TO THE SCHOOL DISTRICTS OF THE STATE BASED ON EACH DISTRICT'S PERCENTAGE OF THE TOTAL STATE STUDENT POPULATION AND TO PROVIDE THAT THE FUNDS MAY BE USED TO FUND ANY GENERAL OPERATING EXPENSE.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. The State Treasure shall distribute any remaining unobligated portion of funds appropriated for abstinence only education by the Fiscal Year 2010-2011 General Appropriations Act as of the effective date of this resolution to the school districts of the State based on each district's percentage of the total state student population and the funds may be used to fund any general operating expense.
SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
