VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
TO AMEND CHAPTER 112, TITLE 59 OF THE 1976 CODE, RELATING TO TUITION AND FEES FOR STATE POST-SECONDARY EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS, BY ADDING SECTION 59-112-140 TO REQUIRE ALL REVENUE FROM OUT-OF-STATE TUITION IN EXCESS OF IN-STATE TUITION RATES TO BE REMITTED TO THE STATE'S GENERAL FUND.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Chapter 112, Title 59 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding:
"Section 59-112-140. Revenue collected by State Institutions from out-of-state tuition in excess of in-state tuition rates must be remitted to the State Treasurer and deposited to the credit of the general fund of the State."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
