A JOINT RESOLUTION TO PROVIDE THAT NOTWITHSTANDING ANOTHER PROVISION OF LAW, SCHOOL DISTRICTS UNIFORMLY MAY NEGOTIATE SALARIES BELOW THE SCHOOL DISTRICT SALARY SCHEDULE FOR THE 2014-2015 SCHOOL YEAR FOR RETIRED TEACHERS WHO ARE NOT PARTICIPANTS IN THE TEACHER AND EMPLOYEE RETENTION INCENTIVE PROGRAM.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
Negotiation of 2014-2015 salaries for retired teachers not enrolled in TERI
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding another provision of law, school districts uniformly may negotiate salaries below the school district salary schedule for the 2014-2015 school year for retired teachers who are not participants in the Teacher and Employee Retention Incentive program.
Time effective
SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
Ratified the 15th day of May, 2014.
Approved the 16th day of May, 2014.
