The House assembled at 10:00 a.m.
Deliberations were opened with prayer by Rev. Charles E. Seastrunk, Jr., as follows:
Our thought for today is from Joel 2:26: "You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord."
Let us pray. Thank You, God, for promises fulfilled. Renew us daily in faith and hope. Grant us good days filled with Your blessings that satisfy our needs. Give these Your servants rest and strength for continued service to the people of this State. Keep our Nation, President, State, Governor, Speaker, staff, and all who labor in these Halls of Government in Your love and grace. Protect our defenders of freedom at home and abroad as they protect us. Heal the wounds, those seen and those hidden, of our brave warriors who suffer and sacrifice for our freedom. Lord, in Your mercy, hear our prayer. Amen.
