A HOUSE RESOLUTION

TO EXPRESS THE DEEP SORROW OF THE MEMBERS OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES UPON HEARING OF THE PASSING OF KARSON BAILEY WHITESELL OF ROCK HILL AND TO OFFER THEIR SINCEREST CONDOLENCES TO HER LOVING FAMILY AND FRIENDS.

Whereas, the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives deem it altogether proper and necessary to pause in their deliberations to remember the life of Karson Bailey Whitesell and to offer their heartfelt sympathies to her large family and many friends; and

Whereas, Karson left this world to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 23, 2018. Her presence in this world will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her; and

Whereas, born in Charlotte, North Carolina, to Debbie Ransom Whitesell and Jason Whitesell, Karson was a member of the Illumine Church and worked at the Peach Stand, a landmark in Fort Mill; and

Whereas, she was considered a beautiful light in this dark world, brightening the lives of her friends and family. She had a heart of service that was made evident all over the world from Haiti to Africa and across South Carolina; and

Whereas, Karson loved God, her family, her boyfriend, and her friends fiercely, and was loved by them all in return; and

Whereas, she is survived by her mom Debbie and Debbie's fiancé Brad Harrison; her father Jason and his wife Laurie Whitesell; her sister Lainee Whitesell; her boyfriend Tevin Izzard; her grandparents, Jim and Sandy Ransom, Art and Diane Whitesell, and Daniel and Linda Harvey; her great-grandmothers, Nell Thomas and Leaborne Whitesell; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the House of Representatives of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, express their deep sorrow upon hearing of the passing of Karson Bailey Whitesell of Rock Hill and offer their sincerest condolences to her loving family and friends.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Karson Bailey Whitesell.
