To whom was referred a Bill (H. 4797) to amend Section 7-7-100, as amended, Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, relating to the designation of voting precincts in Barnwell County, etc., respectfully
That they have duly and carefully considered the same and recommend that the same do pass:
LONNIE HOSEY for the Delegation.
TO AMEND SECTION 7-7-100, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE DESIGNATION OF VOTING PRECINCTS IN BARNWELL COUNTY, SO AS TO REDESIGNATE THE MAP NUMBER ON WHICH THE NAMES OF THESE PRECINCTS MAY BE FOUND AND MAINTAINED BY THE REVENUE AND FISCAL AFFAIRS OFFICE, AND TO UPDATE POLLING LOCATIONS.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Section 7-7-100 of the 1976 Code, as last amended by Act 219 of 2004, is further amended to read:
"Section 7-7-100. (A) In Barnwell County there shall be are voting precincts as follows:
Barnwell No. 1;
Barnwell No. 2;
Barnwell No. 3;
Barnwell No. 4;
Blackville No. 1;
Blackville No. 2;
Elko;
Friendship;
Kline;
Healing Springs;
Hilda;
Snelling;
Williston No. 1;
Williston No. 2; and
Williston No. 3.
The voting place for Barnwell No. 1; Barnwell No. 2; Barnwell No. 3; and Barnwell No. 4 shall be is the Barnwell National Guard Armory.
(B) The precinct lines defining the precincts provided in subsection (A) are as shown on the official map prepared by and on file with the Office of Research and Statistics of the Revenue and Fiscal Affairs Office designated as P-11-04 P-11-18 and as shown on copies of the official map provided to the State Election Commission and the Board of Voter Registration and Elections of Barnwell County.
(C) The polling places for the precincts listed in subsection (A) must be as determined by the Board of Voter Registration and Elections of Barnwell County with the approval of a majority of the Barnwell County Legislative Delegation are as follows:
Barnwell No. 1 Barnwell County Health Department
Barnwell No. 2 Barnwell County Health Department
Barnwell No. 3 Barnwell County Health Department
Barnwell No. 4 Barnwell County Health Department
Blackville No. 1 Blackville Community Center
Blackville No. 2 Blackville Community Center
Elko Elko Fire Department
Friendship Friendship Fire Station
Kline Kline Town Hall
Healing Springs Blackville Community Center
Hilda Hilda Town Hall
Snelling Snelling Town Hall
Williston No. 1 Williston Town Hall
Williston No. 2 Williston Town Hall
Williston No. 3 Williston Town Hall
Barrier Free Barnwell County Voter Registration Office."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
