A HOUSE RESOLUTION

TO EXPRESS THE PROFOUND SORROW OF THE MEMBERS OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES UPON THE PASSING OF JOHN RAY "TRIPP" LEE III OF SUMTER AND TO EXTEND THE DEEPEST SYMPATHY TO HIS FAMILY AND MANY FRIENDS.

Whereas, the South Carolina House of Representatives was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of John Ray "Tripp" Lee III of Sumter on Monday, February 1, 2021, at the age of fifty-two; and

Whereas, born in Sumter in 1968, Tripp Lee was a son of Diane Horne Degnan and the late John Ray Lee II; and

Whereas, Tripp Lee, heeding the call of his country, served in the United States Army and was a proud Army veteran; and

Whereas, in preparation for his career, he graduated from Wofford College in Spartanburg, where he was always an honored member of the Kappa Alpha Order. He served as vice president of sales at Frasier Tire Service; and

Whereas, this man of faith served God as a member of the Church of the Holy Comforter (Anglican) in Sumter; and

Whereas, Tripp Lee leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Page Walton Lee of Sumter, along with his mother, also of Sumter; two sons, Jackson Lee and Bennett Lee, both of Sumter; a brother, Chris Lee, of Sumter; and a host of other family members and friends. He will be greatly missed. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, express their profound sorrow upon the passing of John Ray "Tripp" Lee III of Sumter and extend the deepest sympathy to his family and many friends.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Mrs. Page Walton Lee for the family.
