TO RECOGNIZE AND CELEBRATE PURE FISHING, INC. AS THE LARGEST FISHING-RELATED PRODUCT MANUFACTURER IN THE WORLD AND TO COMMEND PURE FISHING, INC. ON THE COMPANY'S OVER FIFTY YEARS OF CONTRIBUTIONS TO SOUTH CAROLINA'S WORKFORCE AND ECONOMY.
Whereas, the members of the South Carolina General Assembly are pleased to learn that South Carolina serves as the global headquarters for Pure Fishing, Inc. and its operations in nineteen different countries. The company provides over one hundred seventy-five jobs to South Carolinians and a dedicated workforce conversant in twenty-eight different languages; and
Whereas, South Carolina takes great pride in being home for fifty-one years to Pure Fishing, Inc., along with its twenty-four world-recognized brands and a brand portfolio spanning back to 1874; and
Whereas, the South Carolina General Assembly recognizes Pure Fishing, Inc. as the leading global provider of fishing tackle, lures, rods, and reels, with a portfolio of brands that include Abu Garcia, All Star, Berkley, Caboodles, Creative Options, Fenwick, Fin-Nor, Frabill, Greys, Hardy, Hodgman, Hooker Reels, Johnson, JRC, Mitchell, PENN, Pflueger, Plano, Sebile, Shakespeare, SpiderWire, Stren, Ugly Stik, and Van Staal; and
Whereas, the South Carolina General Assembly takes great pleasure in applauding the success of Pure Fishing, Inc., and the members look with interest to hear of its continued success in the days ahead. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:
That the members of the South Carolina General Assembly, by this resolution, recognize and celebrate Pure Fishing, Inc. as the global leader in fishing-related products and commend Pure Fishing, Inc. on the company's over fifty years of corporate citizenship in the State of South Carolina.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Pure Fishing, Inc.
