A senate RESOLUTION

 

to congratulate NursEdvance Innovations for being a manufacturing company that brings great pride to the State of South Carolina.

 

Whereas, established in South Carolina in 2024, NursEdvance Innovations, is a Columbia-based company dedicated to advancing healthcare education through innovative technology; and

 

Whereas, the company was founded by pediatric nurse practitioner and University of South Carolina College of Nursing faculty member, Dr. Stephanie Schaller, who developed an innovative educational tool to help healthcare students better understand complex cardiac physiology and congenital heart defects; and

 

Whereas, NursEdvance Innovations produces CardioEducator, an interactive 3D-printed heart model designed to allow healthcare students to build and visualize different congenital heart defects and fetal circulation within a single model; and

 

Whereas, congenital heart defects are the most common birth defect, affecting nearly one in every one hundred newborns, and CardioEducator helps nursing students and healthcare learners visualize these conditions in three dimensions so they can better care for infants and children born with heart defects; and

 

Whereas, since its launch, more than two hundred twenty CardioEducator models have been 3D printed and assembled in South Carolina, with additional models produced daily to support healthcare education programs and the training of future medical professionals; and

 

Whereas, more than six thousand manufacturing facilities produce world-class products across South Carolina, and NursEdvance Innovations has advanced to the Top Four of the 2026 Manufacturing Madness: The Coolest Thing Made in South Carolina contest, distinguishing itself among one hundred twenty-one nominated products. Now, therefore,

 

Be it resolved by the Senate:

 

That the members of the South Carolina Senate, by this resolution, congratulate NursEdvance Innovations for being a manufacturing company that brings great pride to the State of South Carolina.

 

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to NursEdvance Innovations.
