Whereas, the South Carolina Restaurant and Lodging Association (SCRLA) annually hosts Hospitality Day at the State House, featuring its signature "A Taste of South Carolina" legislative luncheon, which showcases a diverse array of the state's restaurants and outstanding public high school culinary programs; and

Whereas, this event highlights the strength, creativity, and resilience of South Carolina's hospitality industry and provides a valuable opportunity for industry leaders, legislators, and staff to gather in recognition of the important partnership between the General Assembly and the businesses that serve millions of residents and visitors each year; and

Whereas, South Carolina's hospitality industry is a cornerstone of the state's economy, comprising more than 11,700 restaurant and lodging establishments and employing over 340,000 individuals across all regions of the State; and

Whereas, the members of the General Assembly recognize the essential role the hospitality industry plays in driving tourism, supporting local communities, creating career opportunities, and enhancing the quality of life for all South Carolinians; and

Whereas, Hospitality Day provides a meaningful occasion to celebrate these contributions and to express appreciation for the industry's continued investment in the state's economic prosperity.  Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:
