A house RESOLUTION
TO CONGRATULATE AMY COOPER UPON BEING NAMED THE 2025-2026 TEACHER OF THE YEAR FOR LEXINGTON TECHNOLOGY CENTER, TO EXPRESS GRATITUDE FOR HER DEDICATED SERVICE TO STUDENTS, AND TO WISH HER CONTINUED SUCCESS IN HER EDUCATIONAL CAREER.
Whereas, it is a great pleasure to learn that Amy Cooper has been selected 2025-2026 Teacher of the Year for Lexington Technology Center, a prestigious honor that highlights her unwavering commitment to excellence in education and her meaningful impact on the lives of her students; and
Whereas, each school's Teacher of the Year undergoes rigorous screening and assessment in order to be selected as the school's top teacher. This individual exemplifies the qualities of outstanding leadership, dedication, and professionalism, serving as both mentors to their peers and role models for the school community; and
Whereas, Amy Cooper holds a bachelor's degree in parks, recreation, and tourism from Clemson University, as well as a master's in teaching students with learning disabilities from Francis Marion University. With nearly twenty-five years of experience in the classroom, she continues to inspire and empower her students through her expertise, compassion, and dedication; and
Whereas, it is entirely fitting for the South Carolina House of Representatives to pause in its deliberations to recognize Amy Cooper for her remarkable achievements and for her vital contributions to the future of South Carolina through the education of its young people. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, congratulate Amy Cooper upon being named the 2025-2026 Teacher of the Year for Lexington Technology Center, express gratitude for her dedicated service to students, and wish her continued success in her educational career.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Amy Cooper.
