Whereas, STEM learning in school and after school, in a wide variety of formal and informal learning settings, all contribute to increased STEM knowledge and skills; and

Whereas, STEM learning is enhanced by dedicated and well-prepared teachers, mentors, and volunteers; and

Whereas, partnerships between education, industry, and community are key to promoting, supporting, and improving STEM education in South Carolina; and

Whereas, South Carolina's economy, including life sciences, information technology, logistics, protecting our natural heritage, energy resilience, and a growing focus on electrifying automotive transportation relies on a STEM-capable workforce; and

Whereas, it is important to recognize the contributions of families, educators, employers, and volunteers in creating and supporting STEM-focused learning and career opportunities. Now, therefore,
