VERSIONS OF THIS BILL

03/03/2026

A concurrent RESOLUTION

TO HONOR AND COMMEND WORLD HARVEST EVANGELIST JACOB EBERSOLE; TO RECOGNIZE MAY 1-3, 2026, AS "CHARLESTON CRUSADE 2026" IN THE STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA; TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE HISTORIC CHRISTIAN HERITAGE OF THIS STATE; AND TO ENCOURAGE THE VOLUNTARY REDEDICATION OF SOUTH CAROLINA TO ALMIGHTY GOD THROUGH PRAYER, REPENTANCE, AND MORAL RENEWAL AMONG ITS CITIZENS.

Whereas, South Carolina has long been a State whose founding documents, early charters, and historical traditions acknowledge faith in Almighty God and the importance of religious liberty; and

Whereas, from its colonial beginnings through its constitutional development, South Carolina has recognized the guiding hand of Providence in its civic life and public institutions; and

Whereas, throughout its history, the people of South Carolina have assembled in times of challenge and opportunity to seek divine wisdom, moral clarity, and spiritual renewal; and

Whereas, World Harvest evangelist Jacob Ebersole has demonstrated leadership in organizing the Charleston Crusade 2026, scheduled for May 1-3, 2026, as a time of prayer, worship, repentance, and evangelistic outreach; and

Whereas, such gatherings are conducted in the spirit of the freedoms guaranteed by the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of South Carolina, particularly the free exercise of religion and freedom of assembly; and

Whereas, many citizens of this State desire, according to their individual consciences and faith traditions, to voluntarily rededicate themselves, their families, their communities, and this State to Almighty God, seeking His guidance for righteousness, justice, compassion, humility, and civic responsibility; and

Whereas, it is anticipated that on May 17, 2026, a national gathering on the Mall in Washington, D.C., will call for the United States once again to be dedicated to God as a nation; and

Whereas, the General Assembly recognizes the historic and continuing role faith has played in shaping the moral and civic foundations of both South Carolina and the United States. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the South Carolina General Assembly, by this resolution, honor and commend World Harvest evangelist Jacob Ebersole; recognize May 1-3, 2026, as "Charleston Crusade 2026" in the State of South Carolina; acknowledge the historic Christian heritage of this State; and encourage the voluntary rededication of South Carolina to Almighty God through prayer, repentance, and moral renewal among its citizens.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to World Harvest evangelist Jacob Ebersole.
