A house RESOLUTION

to RECOGNIZE AND HONOR Grace Beeson, lexington High School wrestler, for AN EXTRAORDINARY SEASON AND TO CONGRATULATE her FOR WINNING THE 2026 SOUTH CAROLINA CLASS AAAAA Division 1 girls individual STATE wrestling CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE in the 120-pound class.

Whereas,  the South Carolina House of Representatives is pleased to learn that sophomore Grace Beeson of Lexington County captured her second state wrestling title; and

Whereas, entering the championship match ranked No. 1 in her weight class, Ms. Beeson won her second straight-state championship by defeating Rock Hill's wrestler in the 120-pound division in a 7-0 decision; and

Whereas, she adds the 2026 wrestling title to the previous year's title and to the two state championships she had already earned as a member of Lexington High School's Class AAAAA Division 1 competitive cheer team; and

Whereas, in just two years, Ms. Beeson has won four state championship rings, and she will have two additional years to accumulate more of them; and

Whereas, in a sport that demands individual excellence and mental fortitude, she has grappled her way to the top of her class and has learned life principles that will endure beyond the mats; and

Whereas, the South Carolina House of Representatives appreciates the pride and recognition that Grace Beeson has brought to her team and to her school community, and the members look to following her continued achievements in the days ahead. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, recognize and honor Grace Beeson, a Lexington High School wrestler, for an extraordinary season and congratulate her for winning the 2026 South Carolina Class AAAAA Division 1 Girls Individual State Wrestling Championship title in the 120-pound class.
