A house RESOLUTION

 

to recognize and honor Davis Funeral Home for the long-standing and compassionate service the mortuary has offered families in Hartsville and the surrounding communities of Darlington County.

 

Whereas, for many years, Davis Funeral Home has been an important institution within the Hartsville community, providing guidance and support to families during times of loss while honoring the lives and legacies of loved ones with dignity and professionalism; and

 

Whereas, founded by members of the Davis family, the funeral home was established with the goal of offering respectful and dependable funeral services to residents of Hartsville and the greater Pee Dee region; and

 

Whereas, built on a foundation of faith, service, and community commitment, the funeral home has assisted generations of families in commemorating the lives of those they cherish; and

 

Whereas, throughout its history, Davis Funeral Home has emphasized personalized care, ensuring that each service reflects the wishes, traditions, and cultural values of the families it serves. Over time, the funeral home expanded its services to include traditional funerals, memorial services, cremation arrangements, and preplanning assistance for families seeking to make thoughtful preparations for the future; and

 

Whereas, beyond its role in funeral service, the funeral home has remained deeply connected to the Hartsville community. Through its commitment to compassion and professionalism, it has earned a reputation as a place where families can gather to celebrate life, share memories, and find comfort during difficult times; and

 

Whereas, today, Davis Funeral Home continues its tradition of service to the people of Hartsville and the surrounding region. By upholding values of respect, integrity, and care, the funeral home remains a trusted presence in the community and an enduring part of its history. Now, therefore,

 

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

 

That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, recognize and honor Davis Funeral Home for the long-standing and compassionate service the mortuary has offered families in Hartsville and the surrounding communities of Darlington County.

 

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Davis Funeral Home.
