A house RESOLUTION

TO HONOR the life and achievements of prominent african financial leader DR. ABDULMAJID MUSSA NSEKELA, GROUP MANAGING DIRECTOR/CEO, CRDB BANK, TANZANIA.

Whereas, Dr. Abdulmajid Mussa Nsekela is a preeminent leader in East African finance, recently conferred with a PhD in management sciences for his groundbreaking research on corporate governance and financial performance; and

Whereas, under his stewardship since 2018, CRDB Bank has undergone a seismic shift, growing its profit after tax by over 1,000% through aggressive digitalization, with nearly all bank transactions now managed via mobile platforms; and

Whereas, his influence on the green economy is unparalleled. Dr. Nsekela pioneered the bank's accreditation as the first Direct Access Entity for the United Nations Green Climate Fund in East and Central Africa and subsequently issued Tanzania's first green bond. This milestone has unlocked millions in climate resilient agricultural funding, directly impacting the livelihoods of smallholder farmers and promoting sustainable ecological practices across the region; and

Whereas, Dr. Nsekela's leadership extends far beyond the boardroom. As a former chairman of the Tanzania Bankers' Association and an advisor to numerous national development councils, he has been instrumental in shaping Tanzania's macroeconomic and financial inclusion policies; and

Whereas, his commitment to "solution-oriented" leadership continues to inspire a new generation of African professionals to contribute to the continent's knowledge economy. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, honor the life and achievements of prominent African financial leader Dr. Abdulmajid Mussa Nsekela, group managing director/CEO, CRDB Bank, Tanzania.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Dr. Abdulmajid Mussa Nsekela.
