TO AMEND SECTION 44-6-70, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE TITLE XIX STATE PLAN, SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT SUBJECT TO THE AVAILABILITY OF FUNDING, THE HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES DEPARTMENT IS DIRECTED TO PROVIDE PAYMENT FOR FOUR PRESCRIPTIONS PER MONTH FOR MEDICAID ELIGIBLE RECIPIENTS.
Amend Title To Conform
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Section 44-6-70 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding:
"(h) Subject to the availability of funding, the department is directed to provide payment for four prescriptions per month for Medicaid eligible recipients."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect January 1, 1999.
