Pursuant to an invitation the Honorable Speaker and House of Representatives appeared in the Senate Chamber on June 17, 2016, at 10:00 A.M. and the following Acts were ratified:

Burns, Yow, Chumley, Felder, Loftis, Bradley and Collins: AN ACT TO CREATE THE "BRAIN TISSUE DONOR STUDY COMMITTEE" TO PROVIDE A PROCESS AND PROCEDURE FOR CITIZENS OF THIS STATE TO DONATE THEIR BRAIN TISSUE UPON THEIR DEATH FOR RESEARCH AND EDUCATION, TO PROVIDE FOR MEMBERSHIP OF THE STUDY COMMITTEE, TO REQUIRE THE STUDY COMMITTEE TO PREPARE A REPORT FOR THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY, AND TO INCLUDE A SUNSET PROVISION FOR THE STUDY COMMITTEE.

Pope, Felder, King, Gambrell, Gagnon, Erickson, Clary, Tallon and Henderson: AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 59-1-425, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE OPENING DATE FOR THE PUBLIC SCHOOL YEAR, SO AS TO MAKE GRAMMATICAL CHANGES; AND TO AMEND SECTION 59-18-325, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO CERTAIN ASSESSMENTS OF VARIOUS PUBLIC SCHOOL STUDENTS BASED ON GRADE LEVEL, SO AS TO REVISE VARIOUS ASSESSMENTS USED, MANNER OF PROCUREMENT, IMPLEMENTATION, AND ADMINISTRATION OF THESE ASSESSMENTS, AMONG OTHER THINGS.
