The House assembled at 10:00 a.m.
Deliberations were opened with prayer by Rev. Charles E. Seastrunk, Jr., as follows:

Our thought for today is from Micah 7:18: "Who is a God like you, pardoning iniquity and passing over the transgressions."

Let us pray. God of abundance, we bring before You the precious request of Your creation, and with them our very lives. Teach us patience and hope as we continue on the way You have provided for us. Grant these Representatives and staff a peaceful, safe, and joyful weekend. Give them rest and relaxation. O God of power and might, guide and bless our Nation, President, State, Governor, Speaker, staff, and all who serve You and this State. Bless and protect our defenders of freedom and first responders as they protect us. Heal the wounds, those seen and those hidden, of our brave warriors who suffer and sacrifice for our freedom. Lord, in Your mercy, hear our prayers. Amen.

After corrections to the Journal of the proceedings of yesterday, the SPEAKER ordered it confirmed.
