A house RESOLUTION

 

to recognize and honor the National Fire Baptized Holiness Church of God of the Americas for helping their members and communities to obtain and seek the highest Christian experience, to celebrate their one hundred twenty-fifth anniversary, and to declare August 4, 2023, Fire Baptized Holiness Day in South Carolina in recognition of their meaningful accomplishments.

 

Whereas, the South Carolina House of Representatives is pleased to learn that in 2023, the National Fire Baptized Holiness Church of the Americas is celebrating its quasquicentennial anniversary; and

 

Whereas, born in Montville on January 28, 1875, Bishop William Edward Fuller, Sr., founded the Fire Baptized Holiness Church of God of the Americas in August of 1898 in Anderson; and

 

Whereas, today the Fire Baptized Holiness Church has three Episcopal dioceses, three presiding bishopric prelates, twenty-seven presiding elders, twenty-six districts, and five international districts in Canada, the Virgin Islands, Jamaica, England, and Liberia; and

 

Whereas, grateful for the devotion and contributions of the National Fire Baptized Holiness Church, the South Carolina House of Representatives joins their members in celebrating their quasquicentennial anniversary.  Now, therefore,

 

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

 

That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, recognize and honor the National Fire Baptized Holiness Church of God of the Americas for helping their members and communities to obtain and seek the highest Christian experience, celebrate their one hundred twenty-fifth anniversary, and declare August 4, 2023, Fire Baptized Holiness Day in South Carolina in recognition of their meaningful accomplishments.
