AN ACT TO AMEND ACT 172 OF 1969, RELATING TO THE NORTH SPARTANBURG AREA FIRE AND RESCUE DISTRICT, SO AS TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF THE DISTRICT TO EMPLOY FIREMEN AND OTHER EMPLOYEES NECESSARY TO CARRY OUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE BOARD.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
Authority to employ
SECTION 1. Section 3(c) of Act 172 of 1969 is amended to read:
"(c) To employ firemen and other employees and select the drivers and volunteer firemen to man the equipment and carry out the responsibilities delegated by the board."
Time effective
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
