EXPRESSING THE APPRECIATION OF THE MEMBERS OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY FOR THE OUTSTANDING SERVICE OF MELANIE W. HUTTO ON THE OCCASION OF HER RETIREMENT FROM THE AIKEN COUNTY CONSOLIDATED SCHOOL DISTRICT AND WISHING FOR HER MANY HAPPY AND FULFILLING YEARS.
Whereas, Melanie W. Hutto is retiring from the Aiken County Consolidated School District after fifteen years as a classroom teacher and sixteen years as an administrator; and
Whereas, since 1987, Mrs. Hutto has held the position of Area Superintendent, Area #3, of the school district of Aiken County and has set an example of outstanding service going back to the beginning of her career with the school district, a career that through hard work and dedication led to steady promotions throughout the years; and
Whereas, Mrs. Hutto has supported not only her school district but her community, serving in many capacities, among which are the Board of Directors of Helping Hands; the Board of Directors of Hitchcock Rehabilitation Center; Election Commissioner, Aiken County; United Way Coordinator, Aiken County; Board of Directors of the Commission on The Future of Aiken County; and
Whereas, it is appropriate for the members of the General Assembly to pause in their deliberations so that they might recognize Melanie W. Hutto's splendid service to her school district and the community. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the members of the General Assembly, by this resolution, express their appreciation to Melanie W. Hutto on the occasion of her retirement from the Aiken County Consolidated School District and wish for her many happy and fulfilling years.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Melanie W. Hutto.
