TO AUTHORIZE THE SPARTANBURG COUNTY COUNCIL TO APPOINT LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS TO PATROL AND PROTECT ALL COUNTY-OWNED BUILDINGS AND LAND, TO INCLUDE THE SPARTANBURG COUNTY DETENTION FACILITY.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding another provision of law, the members of the Spartanburg County Council shall have the authority to appoint an appropriate number of law enforcement officers to patrol and protect all county-owned buildings and land, to include the Spartanburg County Detention Facility.
SECTION 2 This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
