A BILL

TO REAPPORTION THE ELECTION DISTRICTS FROM WHICH THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE COLLETON COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT ARE ELECTED BEGINNING WITH THE ELECTION CONDUCTED IN 2002.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    Notwithstanding any other provision of law, beginning with the election conducted in 2002, the seven defined single-member election districts from which one member of the Board of Trustees of the Colleton County School District must be elected by the qualified electors of that district are as shown on the official map designated as S-29-00-02 prepared by and on file with the Office of Research and Statistical Services of the State Budget and Control Board.

SECTION    2.    This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
