A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

CONGRATULATING EVELYN REIS PERRY ON HER SELECTION FOR THE "WOMEN IN BUSINESS ADVOCATE" AWARD FOR 2002.

Whereas, Evelyn Reis Perry has been selected as the Year 2002 "Women in Business Advocate" for the State of South Carolina; and

Whereas, the award was recently announced by Elliott Cooper, District Director, United States Small Business Administration; and

Whereas, Ms. Perry won the award for her contributions to women entrepreneurs and to the Lowcountry; she is an accomplished business owner, a driven advocate, and a champion for women in business; and

Whereas, we are delighted to have this opportunity to recognize her for her accomplishments and to honor her in this special way. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:

That the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, congratulates Evelyn Reis Perry on her selection for the "Women in Business Advocate" award for 2002.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Evelyn Reis Perry.
