A SENATE RESOLUTION

TO COMMEND MRS. SHIRLEY PERRY PADGETT, VICE PRESIDENT OF LEXINGTON MEDICAL CENTER, FOR HER MORE THAN THIRTY-TWO YEARS OF DISTINGUISHED SERVICE UPON THE OCCASION OF HER RETIREMENT.

Whereas, the members of the Senate have learned with deep regret that Mrs. Shirley Perry Padgett will be retiring at the end of March as Vice President of the Lexington Medical Center; and

Whereas, Mrs. Padgett joined the Lexington County Health Services District, Inc., more than thirty-two years ago and was the second employee of what is now Lexington Medical Center; and

Whereas, this truly wonderful lady has performed various important functions for the medical center and is now a vice president of this fine institution; and

Whereas, her friendly and warm manner combined with her knowledge and competency symbolizes the quality of care for which the Lexington Medical Center is widely known and respected; and

Whereas, the members of the Senate, by this resolution, would like to publicly recognize Mrs. Padgett on the occasion of her upcoming retirement after a distinguished career of more than thirty-two years. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate:

That the members of the Senate commend Mrs. Shirley Perry Padgett, Vice President of Lexington Medical Center, for her more than thirty-two years of distinguished service upon the occasion of her retirement.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mrs. Shirley Perry Padgett.
