A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

CONGRATULATING THE ANDERSON COUNTY SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT ON RECEIVING THE "SOUTH CAROLINA CONSERVATION DISTRICT OF THE YEAR AWARD".

Whereas, the South Carolina Association of Conservation Districts, the Natural Resource Service, and the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources held their annual joint conference in January 2002 in Charleston; and

Whereas, each year an award is given to one of the forty-six conservation districts of the Palmetto State for outstanding accomplishments during the preceding year; and in 2002 the Anderson County Soil and Water Conservation district received the "South Carolina Conservation District of the Year Award"; and

Whereas, this is an example of outstanding local government at work; the Anderson County District is managed with excellence and is a model for all other districts in the State; and

Whereas, we are delighted to be able to recognize and honor the Anderson County district in this special manner. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
