A BILL

TO AMEND SECTION 7-13-350, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO CERTIFIED CANDIDATES NOMINATED BY PETITION, PRIMARY, OR CONVENTION, SO AS TO PROHIBIT A CANDIDATE FROM BEING NOMINATED BY MORE THAN ONE POLITICAL PARTY AND TO REQUIRE THE AUTHORITY CHARGED BY LAW WITH PRINTING THE BALLOT TO PRINT THE NAME OF THE CANDIDATE WITH THE ONE PARTY WHICH NOMINATED HIM.

Amend Title To Conform

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    Section 7-13-350 of the 1976 Code, as last amended by Act 392 of 2002, is further amended by adding:

"(C)    The authority charged by law with printing the ballot shall print the name of a candidate accompanied by whatever political parties nominate him and may not print his name more than once."

SECTION    2.    This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
