VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
A concurrent RESOLUTION
TO HONOR THE ABBEVILLE HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS VOLLEYBALL TEAM AND COACHES ON THEIR IMPRESSIVE WIN OF THE 2025 SOUTH CAROLINA HIGH SCHOOL LEAGUE CLASS A STATE CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE AND TO SALUTE THEM ON A FABULOUS SEASON.
Whereas, the air on your face and the ground under your feet feel different when you reach the top of the mountain. The Abbeville High School girls volleyball team found that out on November 8, 2025, when the Lady Panthers knocked off rival Latta 3-1 to claim the 2025 South Carolina High School League Class A State Championship title; and
Whereas, in a gym filled with palpable excitement, the championship game gave elated Abbeville fans the chance to see the Lady Panthers capturing their first-ever state title in program history, a feat that wrapped up an unforgettable 23-3 season; and
Whereas, these athletes left everything on the court, battling through every set, every spike, and every challenge that stood in their way. This season wasn't just about victories; it was about breaking barriers, setting new standards, and proving that Abbeville volleyball is a force to be reckoned with; and
Whereas, with justifiable pride, Head Coach Sarah Wojtkowski, along with Assistant Coaches Sally Spangler and Abby Broome, watched the Lady Panthers raise their well-earned title hardware at the end of a tough playoff run; and
Whereas, the members of the Abbeville High girls volleyball team have given their school and community reason to be proud of their accomplishments, and the General Assembly takes great pleasure in adding its collective voice of praise to the encomiums flowing in to this outstanding group of young athletes. Go, Lady Panthers! Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the members of the South Carolina General Assembly, by this resolution, honor the Abbeville High School girls volleyball team and coaches on their impressive win of the 2025 South Carolina High School League Class A State Championship title and salute them on a fabulous season.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Principal Scott White and Head Coach Sarah Wojtkowski of Abbeville High School.
