A JOINT RESOLUTION TO PROVIDE THAT THE SCHOOL DAY OF DECEMBER 18, 1998, MISSED BY STUDENTS OF BUENA VISTA ELEMENTARY IN THE SCHOOL DISTRICT OF GREENVILLE COUNTY FOR SCHOOL YEAR 1998-99 WHEN THE SCHOOL WAS CLOSED DUE TO AIR QUALITY PROBLEMS IS EXEMPTED FROM THE MAKE-UP REQUIREMENT OF THE DEFINED MINIMUM PLAN THAT FULL SCHOOL DAYS MISSED DUE TO EXTREME WEATHER OR OTHER CIRCUMSTANCES BE MADE UP.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
School day forgiven
SECTION 1. The school day of December 18, 1998, missed by students of Buena Vista Elementary in the School District of Greenville County for school year 1998-99 when the school was closed due to air quality problems is exempted from the make-up requirement of the defined minimum plan that full school days missed due to extreme weather or other circumstances be made up.
Time effective
SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
Ratified the 16th day of February, 1999.
Became law without the signature of the Governor -- 2/23/99.
