To whom was referred a Bill (S. 608), to amend Act 286 of 1989, relating to the school districts in Hampton County, so as to authorize members of the board of trustees for School District 2 to receive one hundred dollars, etc., respectfully

TO AMEND ACT 286 OF 1989, RELATING TO THE SCHOOL DISTRICTS IN HAMPTON COUNTY, SO AS TO AUTHORIZE MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR SCHOOL DISTRICT 2 TO RECEIVE ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS PER MEETING FOR THEIR ATTENDANCE.
Amend Title To Conform
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Section 1(B) of Act 286 of 1989 is amended to read:
"(B) The Hampton County Treasurer shall pay all claims approved by a majority of the trustees of either district, on behalf of their respective district, provided sufficient funds are on deposit in the proper district account. Trustees in District 1 shall receive no salary but may be reimbursed for actual expenses incurred. Trustees in District 2 may be reimbursed for actual expenses incurred and may receive one hundred dollars per meeting for their attendance not to exceed one thousand dollars."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
