A JOINT RESOLUTION TO PROVIDE THAT THE SCHOOL DAY MISSED ON APRIL 12, 2002, BY THE STUDENTS OF GRANARD MIDDLE SCHOOL IN THE CHEROKEE COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT WHEN THE SCHOOL WAS CLOSED DUE TO FIRE ARE EXEMPTED FROM THE MAKE-UP REQUIREMENT OF THE DEFINED MINIMUM PLAN THAT FULL SCHOOL DAYS MISSED DUE TO EXTREME WEATHER OR OTHER CIRCUMSTANCES BE MADE UP.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
School day missed excused
SECTION 1. The school day missed on April 12, 2002, by the students of Granard Middle School in the Cherokee County School District when the school was closed due to fire are exempted from the make-up requirement of the defined minimum plan that full school days missed due to extreme weather or other circumstances be made up.
Time effective
SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
Ratified the 14th day of May, 2002.
Became law without the signature of the Governor -- 5/21/02.
