Summary: Juvenile offender records; records may be provided to Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon Services for criminal justice purposes including use at parole hearings
    A BILL TO AMEND SECTIONS 20-7-8510 AND 20-7-8515, BOTH AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO JUVENILE OFFENDER RECORDS, CONFIDENTIALITY, AND PROVIDING SUCH RECORDS TO STATE AGENCIES, SO AS TO AUTHORIZE PROVIDING THESE RECORDS TO THE DEPARTMENT OF PROBATION, PAROLE, AND PARDON SERVICES FOR CRIMINAL JUSTICE PURPOSES AND TO FURTHER PROVIDE THAT CRIMINAL JUSTICE PURPOSES INCLUDE USE BY THE DEPARTMENT OF PROBATION, PAROLE, AND PARDON SERVICES IN EVALUATING CASES BEFORE THE BOARD IN PAROLE HEARINGS.
