A Bill to amend the Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, by adding Section 12-36-1715 so as to provide an additional excise tax on luxury items in an amount not to exceed fifty percent of the tax due on the same items as imposed by the Internal Revenue Code; and to amend Section 12-36-2120, as amended, relating to sales tax exemptions, so as to exempt food which may lawfully be purchased with United States Department of Agriculture food stamps.
