    A BILL TO AMEND SECTION 23-13-10, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE APPOINTMENT OF SHERIFF DEPUTIES, SO AS TO DELETE THE PROVISIONS THAT PROVIDE THAT A DEPUTY SHERIFF SERVES AT THE PLEASURE OF THE SHERIFF AND A SHERIFF IS ANSWERABLE FOR NEGLECT OF DUTY OR MISCONDUCT IN OFFICE OF A DEPUTY, AND TO PROVIDE THAT A DEPUTY HAS THE SAME EMPLOYMENT AND GRIEVANCE RIGHTS AS OTHER COUNTY EMPLOYEES.
